Housemusic as Art (originated from D-wayne’s first radio show in early 2010) is all based on the idea of taking the audience on a musical journey, ‘travelling’ through the various genres of housemusic, ranging from Minimal to Progressive, and Tech House to Electro.
In his performances, D-wayne always intends to surprise the audience by doing things they would have never expected. He wants to create a sound that people will recognize him for, being versatile and diverse in his track choices. He sees Housemusic as an Art in all its pure and differing forms.
Next to this D-wayne knows like no other what it is like to be a youngster in the scene and knows what it takes how to profile yourself in the dance-industry.
This concept is one of the ways in which D-wayne wanted to profile himself to the dance-scene.

With this concept, D-wayne doesn’t only pay attention to newly released or forthcoming tracks, but also to talents or ‘big names’ in the scene that have already made their way through the hierarchy of dancemusic. These artists are then always carefully selected by D-wayne and invited because of their own sound, and because they do their thing for one reason; to show people the Art that housemusic is. For this D-wayne uses his concept to invite (‘Housemusic as Art invites’) a select group of artists to give them a chance to show what they’re worth of to a broad audience. For this a weekly show is programmed on numerous radio stations across the Netherlands, which are all able to be listened on the ether or on the internet. In late 2010 ‘Housemusic as Art’ also saw the birth of it’s own club nights. This means the night is filled with a +- 5hr solo set of D-wayne himself, and are all based on the idea of Housemusic as Art, a musical journey. For these nights various venues have already been the hosts and the nights have proven to be a massive success, with increasing numbers of visitors and a great atmosphere until the very end.
